This stunning American Quarter Horse portrait is my first in black and white. I was able to achieve many subtle effects, despite only using one colour for the entire piece.
It was a different way of working compared to my usual graphite pencil on a white paper, leaving the paper untouched for the blackest of shades, as opposed to drawing in the dark tones.
I’m really pleased with how much character the drawing has.
