Last week I was sitting at the kitchen table, having breakfast, and watching the birds through my binoculars when a surprise visitor appeared. A bird I had only seen on two occasions before, high up in tree tops, a nuthatch.
It has since become a frequent visitor. What a lovely addition to the garden.

[…] On one of my morning walks this week, I was lucky to spot two Nuthatch. The first caught my eye as it perched on top of an old stone bridge. Then its mate appeared, just below, clinging upside-down onto the wall of the bridge. They both flew off into a nearby tree together. This was a good sighting because it was only last September that I saw one in the garden for the first time in 17 years I’ve lived in central Scotland.
